Last week, we explored one more great beach of Andamans – Lalaji Bay Beach.
This fantastic beach is in Long Island, Rangat that falls in Middle Andaman.
Long Island is well connected with Rangat, Middle Andaman by means of regular ferries that run almost everyday. I used almost because in extremely bad weather conditions, the boat ride gets cancelled but it happens rarely.
Lalaji Bay Beach is a beautiful beach but it requires a ride by dunghi after reaching Long Island as it lies on the other side of the island.
Lalaji Bay beach is a beautiful, sandy beach on the west coast of Long Island. One has to take a boat from Rangat jetty to reach here. The boat ride is quite comfortable and takes around 1.5 hrs. The boat cruises through Mangrove creek thus providing equally scenic views around.
From Long Island jetty, one has to take a Dunghi boat to get to the West coast and then walk a few kilometers to reach the beach.
The island is a long, sprawling white sandy beach with clear water. One can easily bask in the sun or get immersed in the clean water to give a treat to mind and body.
It should be a must visit on your list when you come to North and Middle Andamans.
How to reach Lalaji Bay Beach, Long Island: There are regular boats from Yerrata Jetty in Rangat to Long Island. One way ride takes about 1.5 hrs and goes through beautiful creek making it a journey to remember. After you reach Long Island jetty, you need to hire a dunghi or walk for over an hour to reach Lalaji Bay beach.
