Pathi Level Beach, Diglipur

Last week, we decided to hitch hike to Alfred Caves, mysteriously beautiful and slightly inaccessible caves located in one corner of the town of Diglipur in North and Middle Andamans.

On our way back to Diglipur city, we went to Pathi Level beach, which was abundant in natural beauty.
Widespread white sandy beach of Pathi level
A sprawling, white beach with clear water and open sea on one end, it resembles Radhanagar Beach of Havelock to some extent.
Andaman and Nicobar Islands are full of such amazing places. Just that since some of them are not easily accessible and do not have the necessary infrastructure to support tourists, more than half of these go unnoticed or not talked about.

But that is main motive of Know Andamans blog – to bring such beauties of nature to fore.

Here are some pictures of the beach. I hope you like them.
The beautiful Pathi Level Beach

From Alfred caves which lie near to Ramnagar beach, this Pathi level beach is at a walking distance of about 40 mins.

One can also reach this beach by dunghi from Kalighat jetty. The dunghi takes about an hour and fifteen minutes to reach Kalighat and goes through open sea and mostly wide creek.

On our way to Diglipur, we even spotted a salt water crocodile but as we approached nearer, he escaped into the water and hence I could not click a picture.
The journey was mesmerizing like all the journey through creeks in Andamans. Near Kalighat, people engage in catching fish – a random click.

How to reach Pathi Level Beach, Diglipur – Pathi Level beach in Diglipur is a little isolated and far away from the main city. To reach the beach, you need to walk from Ram Nagar beach or take a dunghi from Kishorinagar.
